Figure work

ABOUT

I started figure drawing when I was young. I remember the first time I went and I needed a permission slip from my parents because I would be viewing nude models. I have been challenged by it and in love with it ever since. Several decades later, I still think that life drawing is one of the most difficult but most rewarding things one can do to improve as an artist. Understanding anatomy is integral to my work and understanding the figure- human and otherwise- it is important for my creative process.

ABOUT

I like warming up in the first part of my day with some drawing as well as using 2D for part of my process for 3D work depending on what I'm working on. I also can't help but doodle during phonecalls or DnD sessions which usually result in sillier drawings or a reference to an inside joke that comes up during the session.
